During his freshman year, Miles demonstrated a shooting accuracy of 36.1% from the field and 21.6% from beyond the arc, with a free-throw percentage of 67.6%. He also recorded 17 steals against 21 turnovers throughout the season. Hailing from Chicago, Miles joined FSU from IMG Academy, where he was recognized as the 268th overall player and the 31st combo guard in the 2025 recruiting class by 247Sports. He was a key part of coach Luke Louck's initial high school recruiting class, alongside forward Thomas Bassong.
Despite his unranked status as a transfer, Miles retains three seasons of eligibility for his next collegiate venture.
