Instructions

Blue Fox Entertainment has acquired the U.S. distribution rights for 'Holy Days,' a film marking the directorial debut of 'Riverdale' star Nat Boltt. This comedic adventure, which features an ensemble cast including veteran actresses Judy Davis, Miriam Margolyes, and Jacki Weaver, alongside emerging talent Elijah Tamati, is slated for a theatrical premiere across the United States on March 27.

The film's global rollout is scheduled to commence with its world premiere at the Santa Barbara Film Festival on February 5, followed by a release in New Zealand on February 26. Canadian audiences will also have the opportunity to see 'Holy Days' in theaters on March 27, courtesy of Photon Films, with an Australian release anticipated in May. Blue Fox, serving as the sales agent, plans to showcase 'Holy Days' to international buyers at prominent industry events such as Sundance and the European Film Market in Berlin.

'Holy Days' tells the heartwarming tale of three unconventional elderly nuns who embark on a whimsical road trip across New Zealand with a young boy. Their shared mission is to 'rescue' the boy's deceased mother from the afterlife before his father's new girlfriend, portrayed by Boltt herself, solidifies her place in the family. What begins as a reluctant alliance transforms into a profound journey of faith and companionship, highlighting the unexpected bonds that can form during extraordinary circumstances. The screenplay, penned by Boltt, is an adaptation of an original novel by Dame Joy Cowley, bringing a beloved story to the big screen. This Canada-New Zealand co-production, brought to life by Velvet Moss and Lily Pictures, was filmed entirely in New Zealand, benefiting from the support of various film commissions and production entities.

This cinematic endeavor reminds us of the power of unexpected friendships and the universal quest for connection and belonging. It celebrates the spirit of adventure and the enduring strength found in shared human experiences, irrespective of age or background, encouraging viewers to embrace life's journeys with an open heart.
